It was a pretty awesome trip. I kept wondering how it would feel to be hiking around back in the 1800's (or you know, whenever it was discovered) and come across something like that. It's pretty breathtaking at first sight.

Me and Grahm with Patrick's mom, JoAnn
We hiked a 3 mile trail in the blistering heat, sweat almost to death, got stuck in a torrential downpour (well, we were in the car, so I guess that's not really STUCK in it, but it was kind of awesome any way), and saw a pretty sweet waterfall. I even had some conversations with a couple different groups of french people and could understand them! I was pretty excited, b/c despite my promise to myself to keep up my french, I haven't done a thing about it. I'm happy to say that I understood about 90% of what they said, AND could say about 90% of what I wanted to say. Just sayin'...

Someone offered to take our picture... you'd think that out of the group of 5 or 6 people that were standing there watching, someone would have said, "hey- your kid's hat is in his face", but hey, we were just glad to get a pic with all 3 of us where one of us isn't all distorted from holding the camera at arm's length.
Good times. Good times.

Congrats to the Spens' on the mission call! That'll be a cool mission!
