So... posting pics of Izzie's room has been on my "to-do" list since the night before she was born (because that's when I finished sewing the crib bumpers). I am really happy with how things turned out. We put a new coat of paint on the walls, doors and trim, set up the crib, painted the dresser and added some girly knobs, and put up her newborn pics.
I saw a pattern for this quilt at a cute little sewing store in Highland, and I just fell in love with it. Although it wasn't the quickest thing to make, it wasn't too hard, so that was nice since I'm still pretty new to quilting.
I tried my hand at applique... I don't know why I always have to start with something hard! I get an idea in my head and can't do anything else. It was kind of a bugger and it doesn't look wonderful up close, but from a distance it looks just great. :)
OMgoodess Emily! Such a precious room! I especially love the quilt you made! I'm so bad at sewing. You should definitely consider selling those sometime in the future. I'd be your first buyer!! :)
