In my effort to be a little more festive (which was inspired in large part by my sister, Sabina), I've decided to make a little display for all the "small" holidays. Sabina wanted to do a Valentine craft, so my mom and I went to her house and made these cute table runners. I can't take all the credit- she had already cut and sewn the squares together; we just added the hearts and sewed the binding on. But they turned out super cute. Sabina also made some "xoxo" blocks, so I decided to copy her and make my own. I scanned some scrapbook paper into photoshop, changed the colors to red and cream, typed the letters and then just printed it and mod-podged it right onto the blocks (you know me- mod-podge is my favorite).

It's tradition in my family to make a pink meal for Valentine's Day. Actually, it usually ends up being breakfast AND dinner. This was our breakfast. I also made fortune cookies with little love notes in them for Patrick (my mom's idea). My sister, Camille, my mom and I collaborated and made a delicious dinner but unfortunately, my camera's batteries died before I got any pictures of it- but it turned out super cute. I'll have to have my mom send me some pictures she took.
Ca-ute! I love V-Day! I'm stealing all your ideas. Mwah ha ha ha ha!
ReplyDeleteTurned out SO cute! I love your blocks. So, what are we doing for Easter? It's only a month away (April 4, I think). I need something fun to inspire me.
